Position Summary: The Specialist, Search Marketing Senior is responsible for executing OfficeMax online search marketing campaigns, including Paid Search and Natural Search, and implementing short and long-term marketing strategies and related projects to drive traffic, revenues and profits through OfficeMax websites. This position will work closely with the online merchandising team to understand product category and promotional priorities and work with agency partners to manage keywords for search engines and content and links for SEO to optimize our search programs to these priorities. Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions: 1. Implement cost effective online marketing programs utilizing paid search, natural search. 2. Perform tests with Paid Search Marketing companies (Google, Yahoo and MSN) to deliver ROAS and profitability goals, acquisition goals and awareness goals. Manage active keywords, landing pages and offers to improve Search conversion rates across multiple sites. 3. Adhere to development standards to ensure efficient and accurate implementation of search optimization strategies. 4. Work with agency on creative testing for search engine copy, offers, value-added information, reporting and analysis. 5. Implement strategies for increasing traffic and revenue through organic search listings. 6. Work with agency to identify, research, and resolve internal and external link architecture for Paid and Natural Search. 7. Continually monitor and proactively manage organic search rankings to maximize traffic and revenue. 8. Optimize keyword discovery and expansion for both paid and organic search. 9. Monitor, track and analyze online program effectiveness to measure R.O.I and present weekly reports by campaign, site and category 10. Work in conjunction with expanded eCommerce team to ensure short term promotional plans, mid-terms seasonal plans, and long term category growth plans are incorporated into search marketing program planning to optimize performance. 11. Recommend changes and new methodologies to improve return on investment, customer retention/growth, and understanding within the company. 12. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and industry activity to more effectively market to the OfficeMax online customer base. 13. Provide training and technical assistance to lower-level Specialists, functioning as mentor and/or project lead on certain project segments. 14. Work on cross-functional teams with other Marketing areas, depending on the nature and scope of the project. 15. Demonstrate a commitment to OfficeMax core values. 16.
